Your English, Your Way:

"This platform exists because I believe language learning shouldn’t be one-size-fits-all. Whether you’re preparing for the SAT, building confidence in writing, or just want to hold fluid conversations, I customize every lesson around your preferences."

Here, I believe language learning should:

- Spark curiosity about the world

- Honor each student’s unique learning style

- Equip learners to communicate with confidence—whether with peers, in classrooms, boardrooms, or casual conversation with a stranger.

Meet Your Tutor

Welcome! I’m Daniel Anillo—though most students call me ‘Teacher Daniel.’ I’m a TESOL-certified English specialist with eight years of experience across three continents. My approach blends academic rigor—honed through a degree in English Literature and classroom teaching in Texas and Spain—with the adaptability of online education, where I’ve maintained a perfect 5-star rating across 7,000+ lessons.

My journey includes six years teaching online (VIPKid, Preply, AllSchool), three years in Texas public schools, and a year in Spain—where I learned as much from my students as they from me. These experiences have given me more than just teaching skills—they’ve shown me how to craft truly engaging, student-tailored lessons that go beyond textbooks.

Working with students of all ages and proficiency levels, from beginners to advanced speakers worldwide, I’ve developed an intuitive sense for structuring classes, adapting on the fly, and designing curricula that resonate. Most importantly, I’ve learned that great teaching starts with listening—to your goals, your challenges, and even the stories that make you light up.

What sets me apart? I design lessons that are:

- Structured yet flexible: Clear goals with room for spontaneous exploration

- Culturally expansive: We don’t just study English—we connect it to global perspectives

- Joyfully rigorous: Proven results without sacrificing engagement

What drives me? A deep love for reading, writing, and teaching—and the joy of watching students discover their voice. In my classroom, English becomes more than grammar or just a lesson; it’s a gateway to exploring the world(s) (both real and fictional) and connecting across cultures. Though currently based in Houston (fresh from a year teaching in Spain), my upcoming travels through Europe and Asia will bring even more global perspectives to our lessons. Wherever I am, my goal remains: to help you grow not just linguistically, but as a curious, confident communicator.
